Almaty Eco tours is an family run company who aim to provide tourists with an authentic view of Kazakhstan, we work with independent drivers and guesthouses which we have built relationships with over many years to assure quality and hospitality. We are hoping to grow and be able to match more eager tourists with friendly faces to show them the Almaty region and beyond!
Our head guide
Yelbossyn Babalyk is the head of Alamty Eco tours and an experienced tour guide who has helped people discovering Central Asia since 2017.

Absolutely great!
Our tour with Outfitter was absolutely great. We did the 2 day tour of Charyn Canyon and the lakes in a small group with Yelbosyn. It was a wonderful trip and although it cost more than we had wanted to spend, it was so worth it. We visited popular well-known spots and also amazing smaller places where we were the only visitors. They also provided vegetarian food for us.

Great experience with Outfitter on 3 day Charyn Canyon+Kolsoi Lake+Kaindy lake trip
When travelling to a country where English is not the primary language, you have no local contacts, and limited info, arranging out of city expeditions is always a concern. We got a great guide, Yelbossyn, who showed us around everything, was never rushed, has a lot of local knowledge, and went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience. It also helps that he knows how to use a DSLR well :)
The vehicle was in good condition, and his driving is very safe - both of which were critical factors for us. We did the 3 day Charyn Canyons + Kolsoi Lakes + Kaindy Lake trip. Overall everything was great.Shariq A
